Her own in bohemian Moscow, creative and unbalanced, Lilya Brik was Mandelstam's woman. Living three together, the two Soviet poets were friends, and the only woman, Lilya, inspired them: making one happy, and slowly killing the other. V. Mayakovsky is a separate, completely different figure among Russian poets. All his work was vulgarly original and extremely sincere. Carried away by the fashionable movement of the futurists, the poet fully accepted its laws and rules for the creation and construction of poems. Moreover, he boldly broke not only standard stereotypes, but also the framework of futurism itself. Nevertheless, Mayakovsky differed sharply from the majority of incompetent representatives of the avant-garde. His poems shocked his contemporaries, but with a deep analysis they revealed to the readers the real inner world of the poet, his vulnerability and sensitivity.

There were many women in Mayakovsky's life, but he really loved only one. Lilya Brik became his constant muse, he dedicated his lyric poems to her. The woman was a supporter of free love.   1. The poem is filled with a large number of vivid original metaphors: "Heart in iron", "burned out the soul blooming with love", "dry leaves of my words."
  2. There are many figurative epithets in the text ("muddy front", "offended complaints", "regal elephant"), among which there are also author's ones ("lie down in the fired sand").
  3. It is interesting to note that in order to create an accurate image of his love, the poet uses the personification: "You cannot beg for rest with your love." Love takes on the features of the poet's beloved and appears as a cruel imperious deity, from whom it is impossible to escape.

Poem by V. Mayakovsky "Lilichka!" represents one of the brightest texts of love lyrics of the early XX century. Original and imaginative, it reveals to the reader the poet's passionate nature and demonstrates the unbridled strength of his feelings.
