But there is another loyal friend who helps my skin at night.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing night cream. Vitamin E nourishing night cream

Expanded opinion: This cream comes in a plastic round jar like most creams. Which is not very convenient and hygienic. I have to climb there with a spatula for creams. The consistency of the cream is thick, as a rule, all night creams have this. White. Volume: 50 ml.

The aroma, in contrast to serum, is more pleasant. Delicate rose scent.
Easy to apply. Absorbs much longer than serum.

What we get after a while, distributing the cream to the end:

I use the cream as well as the serum for about a month, and in general I can say that both of them cope with their functions with a bang! I noticed that the complexion has improved, dryness and irritation have gradually faded away. Now we are not afraid of winter

Hello!
Today I want to review the products, or rather, serums with vitamin C, which I have used over the past two years. I'll tell you about the compositions, action, and whether it is worth spending money on them at all.

To begin with, you need to choose vitamin C - a lot depends on its form, its concentration and the correct pH.
Earlier I wrote in detail about vitamin C

I'll start with Sesderma Liposomal Serum C-Vit - liposomal serum with vitamin C.

The serum is a whitish, slightly gel-like substance, very pleasant and light. I would like to point out that the brand's liposomal serums are almost all the same in texture and sensation. And one more thing - they are spent in a fell swoop, 30 ml is enough for literally a month and a half, at least those that I had behave in this way.
Serum contains vitamin C in a stable form ascorbyl glucoside, encapsulated in liposomes. It also contains mulberry extract, hyaluronic acid and peptide-stimulator for the synthesis of components of the extracellular matrix Syn-coll.

The serum is excellent, perfectly tolerated, does not cause any burning sensation or irritation. Revitalizes the skin, makes it homogeneous, evens out color and texture, moisturizes well at the time of application, bringing a feeling of coolness. I personally don't see bleaching. In general, a great product, if not for one thing - the composition contains alcohol, which I personally try to avoid.
And today serum costs about 4 thousand, which is expensive, given its consumption.
You can read a couple more of the brand's products
In general, I love the brand and, perhaps, in the future I will buy myself vitamin C in ampoules with 12% content in the form of l-ascorbic acid. I buy Sesderm "from on the Spanish site dermofarma.es, there are good offers for sets, delivery costs 9 €, but, in my opinion, there were some troubles with VAT deduction.

Medik8 CE-Tetra - Antioxidant Serum with Vitamin C & E

This is an oil serum. It contains jojoba oil, two silicones, cyclopentasiloxane and cyclohexasiloxane. Next comes stable vitamin C in the form of tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, which, according to the manufacturer, is 7% in serum and which is equal in strength to 28% of vitamin C in the form of LLA. Also vitamin E, a copolymer - a film-converting agent and a perfume.
The serum is intended for ages 40+, although these are conventional values \u200b\u200bfor dry, normal and reddened skin. It is easy to apply, but at first it may seem that 4 drops, as the manufacturer advises, is not enough - jojoba oil clings to the skin.
To my regret, this serum did not suit me - by the end of the first week it caused me sore red subcutaneous skin, especially on my cheeks. I did two approaches to it, but in the end everything ended in the same way - with acne, and the second time they appeared literally three days later. I did not see any effect on wrinkles or pigmentation.
And in general, with the brand I did not work out. you can read about two more products of the brand, serum with 0.3% retinol and moisturizer. The effect is zero, I am very unhappy with the brand, I feel sorry for the money and the time spent.
I bought it on fillets, I don’t see something of this brand there.

Martiderm Proteoglicanos FPS - ampoules with proteoglycans and vitamin C 5%

The product is in ampoules, it is a thin and fatty milk, with a not very pleasant smell. It is applied easily, spreads quickly, it is absorbed, in my case, without a trace, but within 15-30 minutes, in the morning it is inconvenient. It did not cause any negative moments, except for the moment while it is absorbed - there is a feeling of a sauna on the face, while the serum can tingle, and the face can itch under it.
It contains an unstable form of vitamin C - l-ascorbic acid, of which there is 5%. The ampoule is designed for 2 times of use, it can be stretched even longer, especially since there is really a lot of money for two times, but the vitamin here is quickly oxidizing, so there is no point in saving.
As a result, the skin with this serum is not bad, tightened, reflects light and in general, I liked the serum, but I did not repeat it, although it hid the pigment quite well for me. You can read the full review.
I bought it in the same place as Sesderm.

Timeless 20% vitamin C + E + Ferulic Acid Serum is a serum with vitamins C, E and ferulic acid.

The serum is a clear liquid, but slightly oily. There is a smell, it smells to me like iron, but not much, only if you smell it.
It is applied easily, spreads quickly and is also absorbed, the grease is not felt.
The maximum effective amount of vitamin C in the composition of whey is 20%, its pH is about 3, the most effective for LAA.
In addition, it contains synergistic vitamin E and ferulic acid.
This serum has only a positive effect on my skin - it is elastic, bright, gets sleek and glossy. I did not observe any negative moments, except, perhaps, the absence of an effect on pigmentation. Here it is not clear - 5% laa affects, 20% not .. It is desirable to use it in the evening, four or five drops are enough for the whole face.
I want to compare this serum with the much-praised Skinseuticals CEFerulic. True, I had it for a long time, about six years ago. I took her twice, and both times she came to me the color of champagne. I do not believe the manufacturer when he claims that a serum that has changed its color can be used. Timeless also oxidizes, but it always comes transparent and begins to change color only after three months. CEFerulic, on the other hand, becomes quite yellow within a month and a half, that is, oxidation is in full swing.
I showed you how to make an analogue of CEFerulic according to a patented recipe, if anyone is interested.
You can buy Timeless on the offsite, they send to Russia or to ibey.

Bielenda Neuro Glicol + Vitamin C is a night serum with glycolic acid, vitamin C and botox-like peptide argireline.

The serum is a transparent, slightly thickish water. It is applied, distributed, absorbed without difficulty, leaving behind a slightly sticky film, but comfortable. There is a smell, slightly sour.
It contains stable non-acidic vitamin C in the form of ethyl corbic acid, fat and water soluble. 2% of this vitamin, according to manufacturers, is comparable to 15% of the vitamin in the acidic form LAA.
Also in the composition is glycolic acid in an amount of 4.5%, which plays the role of a surface exfoliator (you can read about acids in more detail), panthenol for soothing and botox-like peptide argireline, which is not enough here)
The serum is comfortable, well tolerated, it may tingle for beginners a little, but in general, no damage was noticed. The skin gives an even, with a smoothed relief and pores, keeps my pigmentation "within the framework", slightly exfoliates. In general, I liked the product, the only thing is that it is inconvenient for me to use it at night. You can read the full review
You can buy Bielenda products in some kind of IM or on ibey, but you need to be careful about the compositions, especially creams, they often put hydantoin there.

InstaNatural Vitamin C Serum - Vitamin C Serum

The texture of the whey is milk, very fluid. It spreads, is easily absorbed, leaving behind a kind of film that you want to cover with a moisturizer. It smells like smoked meats.
It contains stable non-acidic vitamin C in the form of SAP. The serum is dyed, but there is no need to be afraid of this, stable SAPs and MAPs live for about 8 months from the date of production. Also in the composition of ferulic acid and many natural botanical extracts that can give an allergic reaction, you need to be careful here.
The serum is very soft, gentle, however, it gives the effect of smooth skin, soothes, reduces redness. A great product to use in your morning routine. You can read the full review
iherb.com. In addition to this serum, I also had a remedy with niacinamide, you can read

The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% is a serum with 23% vitamin C and hyaluronic filler spheres.

This is not exactly serum, but a suspension, that is, a suspension of powder in emollients. When applied to the skin, the powder is felt, by someone stronger, by someone not, personally for me in the comfort zone. When applied, a sufficient fat content is felt, but the serum is applied and distributed easily, glides on. For the whole face, three drops are enough, otherwise there will be a feeling of a greenhouse on the skin.
It contains an acidic and active form of vitamin C - LAA, and in large quantities. There is no question of pH here, since the agent is anhydrous. The serum also contains dehydrated hyaluronic spheres, which, upon application of further hydration, spread out in the skin, lifting it from the inside and providing additional hydration.
It didn't work out for me with this serum, since I used it according to the usual scheme. The skin is clogged and loose.
The serum needs an approach, it should be applied 2-3 times a week and used only at night. At the same time, pay sufficient attention to the subsequent cleansing of the skin.
To be honest, I never used it to the end, threw it away - firstly, as soon as I smeared it a little too much, a red pimple immediately jumped up, and secondly, it is not always convenient for me to use the product in the evening because of tretinoin. Thirdly, practically undissolved powder of oxidizable vitamin C is applied to the skin, since it is generally water-soluble, and what kind of reaction to expect from it, xs. The girls found a way out - first spray the face with hydrolate or water, then apply the serum.

The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone is a serum with vitamin C 30% in silicone.

The second time on the same rake, as they say. For some reason, you always want everything and more, although you know perfectly well that the best is the enemy of the good.
After the first serum from the brand I swore to take high doses of vitamin C, but no ..
Here is the same texture - suspension, but the powder is not felt at all - the serum is pleasant and delicate.
It is applied and spreads easily and easily, glides on the skin, is perfectly absorbed without a trace, leaving the skin matte. No grease, no films. At the same time, the serum absolutely does not pinch the skin, only if it is on the wounds, it does not irritate, compared to its counterpart.
The composition contains the same active acidic vitamin C in the form of L-ascorbic Acid, but in the amount of 30%. The pH is not mentioned, the form is anhydrous. Apart from silicones, there is nothing else here.
I can also use it 2-3 times a week and most often in the morning. I apply, hold for a maximum of half an hour and wash off, and the skin has to be cleaned quite intensively, otherwise the silicones remain a film.
This serum does not spoil the skin, as the first copy, but I did not even try to use it every day. On the positive side, I can note that it really evens out the color and texture well, revitalizes the skin, that notorious glow appears with it, and I also noticed an effect, albeit very small, on the pigment. Very well smoothes peeling during the use of tretinoin. But there is also but - firstly, I am constantly tormented by doubts about how well vitamin C penetrates through silicone, because it oxidizes not only in light, but also in air. Secondly, while the serum is on my face, my skin becomes flabby in front of my eyes, becomes covered with a net of wrinkles - everything goes away immediately after washing, the skin seems to stretch, but the fact itself worries me. In general, I am not comfortable using this product.
I have not yet written a full review of the product, perhaps in the future.
For other products of the brand, reviews can be read under the tag The Ordinary
You can buy brand products on the off-site, on asos.com, although there is almost no choice at all, on cultbeauty.co.uk - 15% discount on the first order (to get it, you need to fill out a beauty profile) and free shipping.

Summing up. Earlier I wrote somewhere that I want to completely abandon vitamin C, I am inclined to believe that such a high antioxidant load is not needed by the skin and the body as a whole, moreover, it is harmful. But she decided not to be so categorical. But for myself, I made the following conclusions - I do not need a high dose of vitamin C in the active form of LAA, if I take it, then, I think, the amount of 10-12% is more than enough. And most likely these will be ampoules, although fiddling with them is not always convenient.
More stable forms SAP and MAP and others are the most preferred for me. They, of course, do not give such a striking effect as the acidic form, but it still exists in the form of even skin with smoothed pores. You do not need to monitor them as carefully as the acid form, you do not need to constantly run to the refrigerator, you do not need to look for containers and pour the product to reduce oxidation. And it is always easier to fit these forms into care, both in the evening and in the morning. For half a year I have been hanging in my head Timeless Hyaluronic Acid Vitamin C Serumwith a 5% content of vitamin C in the form of MAP, hyaluronic acid and Matrixil, so I will most likely stop at it, at least for now.

Thanks for your attention.

In order to collect serum into a pipette, it is necessary to lift the cap with a pipette to allow air to enter the vial. In a closed form, it will be difficult to draw serum into a pipette due to the high viscosity of the liquid.
