Today I will be preparing an online salad recipe called “The Bride”. Why Bride? Don't know. Probably the whole point is in his tenderness and airiness. And the light colors of the components, most likely, also play a role.

Preparing a salad is very simple, and despite its festive name, it is great for a weekday lunch or dinner.

How to prepare the Bride salad?

Everything is very simple. I immediately put the processed cheeses in the freezer (this way they will be better grated). I boiled eggs and potatoes until tender.

I removed the skin from the chicken thigh and separated the meat from the bones. By the way, if you wish, you can take a non-smoked ham, and just boil it.

I cut the onion into small cubes and marinated it in hot water (6 tablespoons) with vinegar (3 tablespoons). I also added a pinch of sugar and salt to the marinade. Left it for 30 minutes.

I have already used such pickled onions in a salad with an omelette ribbon.

I separated the proteins from the yolks, peeled the potatoes and finely chopped the chicken fillet. All components are ready, you can start assembling the salad.

I must say right away that it is better to collect salad immediately in portions in small salad bowls or bowls. Since it will be difficult to grab each layer from a large salad bowl.

I did not know this in advance, so I did the following:

I laid out the chicken fillet in the first layer and covered it with a mesh of mayonnaise. It is very easy to make a mayonnaise mesh if you make a small hole of 2-3 mm in a bag with mayonnaise.

I drained the marinade from the onion and laid it out in a second layer, this layer does not need to be coated (the onion is already juicy).

The third layer grated potatoes on a coarse grater, salted and peppered a little, and again made a mayonnaise mesh (add a little more mayonnaise here than in my photo).

IMPORTANT: It is unnecessary to crush the lettuce layers! So the Bride salad will be more airy.

The next layer rubbed egg yolk, without mayonnaise.

He took out the cheese from the freezer and also rubbed them on a coarse grater. I put on a grid of mayonnaise.

Grated the egg whites with the final layer. You can decorate the salad with parsley if desired.

How to cook portioned salad with smoked chicken and melted cheese in glasses

Cut the smoked chicken breast into small cubes and place in a bowl.


Eggs are boiled ahead of time. Before that, we made sure to wash them.
