This is just a sample menu. Various adjustments can be made to it based on the course and type of the disease. All this is decided with the attending physician. It should also be very diverse, but useful.

Such diets for the intestines are strict. But with their observance, it is possible to restore the work of the entire digestive system. It is worth remembering that it must be observed not only during the period of exacerbation, but also at the stage of remission and after surgery.

Bowel diseases are more common than other diseases of the gastrointestinal tract; when treating them, it must be remembered that the intestine is not only responsible for the processing of food and the absorption of nutrients, but also is an important immune organ. One of the ways to restore disturbed bowel functions is dietary nutrition.

Types of bowel diseases

The intestine consists of two sections, each of them performs its own functions:

  • the small intestine takes part in the process of digestion, most of the nutrients are absorbed in it;
  • in the large intestine, the absorption of volatile fatty acids, water, the formation of feces occurs.

In case of violation of the normal functions of the intestine under the influence of various factors, such diseases develop first of all:

  • enteritis- inflammation of the mucous membrane of the small intestine;
  • duodenitis- inflammation of the mucous membrane of the initial section of the small intestine - duodenum 12;
  • colitis- inflammation of the mucous membrane of the colon;
  • enterocolitis- simultaneous inflammation of the small and large intestines;
  • irritable bowel syndrome- functional disorders in the work of the intestine, which are related to dystrophic changes not associated with inflammation.

Intestinal diseases are manifested by abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, constipation or diarrhea, sometimes body temperature may rise, signs of intoxication may develop.

Since there are a lot of causes of intestinal diseases, if you have any complaints, you should first of all consult a doctor. After the tests are passed, the diagnosis is established and treatment is prescribed, the doctor necessarily prescribes a diet.

Features of nutrition in diseases of the intestine

Dietary nutrition for intestinal diseases is selected for each patient, depending on the diagnosis and complaints. Diet goals:

  • normalization of digestion processes, restoration of the secretory function of the intestine;
  • elimination of all symptoms of an intestinal disease in which a diet is prescribed;
  • restoration of motor function of the intestine;
  • exclusion of the irritating effect of food on the intestines.

For bowel diseases, several types of diets are prescribed:

  • Table number 2- used for violation of the functions of gastric and intestinal digestion, as well as for problems with chewing and swallowing food. Most dishes are ground to a puree state.
  • Table number 3- normalizes bowel function in case of constipation. All food belongs to the category of mechanical, thermal and chemical pathogens of peristalsis; during its preparation, grinding and pureing of products is minimized.
  • Table number 4- prescribed for inflammatory processes in the intestines, accompanied by loose and frequent stools. Mechanical, thermal and chemical irritants are excluded from the diet; products that inhibit peristalsis are introduced. Increase the amount of fluid you drink to 2–2.5 liters.
  • Table No. 4A- use for 3-7 days with exacerbation of chronic colitis.
  • Table number 4B- prescribed after diet No. 4A as a transition to table No. 4.

In the menu of each of the diets, a double or triple dose of B vitamins is introduced, since in case of intestinal diseases, the body primarily suffers from a lack of these vitamins. Also increase the daily rate of ascorbic acid, vitamins A and PP. The number of meals should be from 4 to 6 times a day.

Allowed and prohibited products

In violation of intestinal digestion (table number 2)

Allowed: low-fat dairy products, milk - as an additive to dishes, lean meat and fish, eggs, buckwheat, semolina, oatmeal, rice, beets, carrots, potatoes, pumpkin, sweet varieties of tomatoes, apples, dried fruits, sweet fruits and berries, wheat dried bread, cocoa, cereal decoctions, compotes, tea, mild spices that stimulate appetite (dill, bay leaf), butter and vegetable oils.

Forbidden: pastry, fresh bread, millet, barley, corn grits, canned food, spicy, fried, fatty dishes, smoked meats, legumes, cucumbers, garlic, radish, onion, radish, mushrooms, grapes and grape juice, sour berries and fruits, dairy soups, lard, margarine.

For constipation (table number 3)

Allowed: wholemeal bread, cold soups and compotes, fried and stewed dishes, pumpkin, kefir, cottage cheese, fish and seafood, raw vegetables and fruits with a high fiber content, buckwheat, millet, meat, vegetable oils, prunes, fatty foods are allowed in small quantities dishes.

Forbidden: semolina, rice, smoked products, canned food, potatoes, radishes, jelly, blueberries, chocolate, horseradish, mustard, coffee, margarine, pasta.

In inflammatory bowel diseases accompanied by diarrhea (table number 4)

Allowed: blueberry jelly, jelly, wheat bread croutons, apples, pears, potatoes, carrots, non-acidic cottage cheese, soft-boiled eggs, low-fat fish and meat cutlets, slimy soups on rice, semolina, oatmeal.

Forbidden: cold and too hot dishes, coarse-grained vegetables, fried, smoked and fatty dishes, milk, sour-milk products, spices, spices.

With an exacerbation of chronic colitis on the first day, it is allowed to drink only warm still water or unsweetened black tea. You can also eat a few small crackers of wheat bread, rice slimy porridge.

When the acute process subsides, the daily menu looks like this:

  • Breakfast: oatmeal porridge on the water, soft-boiled egg, unsweetened black tea.
  • 2nd breakfast: blueberry jelly.
  • Dinner: potato and carrot puree soup on rice broth, veal steam cutlet, apple compote.
  • afternoon tea: oatmeal jelly.
  • Dinner: rice and fish meatballs, mashed potatoes, tea.
  • Before bedtime: Chamomile tea.

All diets designed for the treatment of intestinal diseases are easily tolerated due to the variety of foods and multiple meals. Follow the diet for at least two weeks, the decision on its further use is made by the doctor. But even after the end of treatment, you need to adhere to the rules of a healthy diet, which will help maintain the health of the intestines and the whole body.
