It is a polyvalent antigenic complex, which includes lysates of bacteria that most often cause pathogenic processes in the oral cavity and pharynx. Imudon activates phagocytosis, increases the number of immunocompetent cells, increases the production of lysozyme, interferon, and secretory immunoglobulin And in the saliva.

Pharmacokinetics

The drug mainly acts in the oral cavity, currently there are no data on systemic absorption.

Special conditions

Side effect of Imudon

In rare cases, the use of the drug may be accompanied by allergic reactions (rash, urticaria, angioedema), reactions from the gastrointestinal tract (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain), fever, exacerbation of bronchial asthma, cough.

In very rare cases, the use of the drug may be accompanied by the development of erythema nodosum, hemorrhagic vasculitis, thrombocytopenia.

Indications for use

Treatment and / or prevention of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx:

• pharyngitis, chronic tonsillitis, oral dysbiosis, gingivitis (erythematous, ulcerative), periodontal disease, periodontitis (superficial, deep), glossitis, stomatitis (including aphthous); prevention and treatment of infectious complications before and after tonsillectomy;
• ulceration caused by dentures (prevention, treatment); removal and implantation of teeth (including artificial).

Contraindications Imudon

Increased individual sensitivity to the drug or its components; childhood up to 3 years old; autoimmune diseases.

Method of administration and dosage

Inside, kept in the mouth until completely absorbed (without chewing).
